“Proxyman is such a cool app. You can view http/ws requests from any app on your computer, and install an SSL proxy cert so you can see requests/responses that apps on your computer are making. I've used many - wireshark, charles, etc - and this is the best one i've used.”

"It makes working with Xcode simulators even easier by having a dedicated UI workflow to install the proxy certificates and restart the sim. I used to face issues from time to time doing this with Charles having to restart my machine at times and not getting the certificates to work. Proxyman makes this way nicer to work with and since switching I never faced certificate issues again. Not trying to do an ad, but really glad I don't have to think about that anymore :)"
"When I was still working with iOS, all of us on the team switched to Proxyman and found it much better than Charles. Developer experience wise that is (features, ui/ux, etc.) We ran into some issues with Charles and found Proxyman as the alternative. Don't remember the issues but we never looked back."
"Same. At some point there was a new Charles version and I could not figure out how to use it the way I had used the old version (I admit I forget exactly what I was trying to do), and it was trivial in Proxyman. Proxyman also has a great app."

"I frequently use them both. The main reason why I can't leave Charles is the lack of session grouping in Proxyman. Seeing a huge list of irrelevant items is annoying after some point. In Charles, I can save that session with a name and move on to something else. It's almost impossible to leave one for the other at this point for me. This goes without saying, but huge thanks to the both developers for making these available."

"If the devs behind Charles would just tweak their UI a bit, it would be the absolute perfect tool. Functionally it pretty much already is. I tried using proxyman for a while, and while definitely powerful and more modern, it honestly didn't feel "better" or more powerful so I didn't go for yet another license."

"An absolutel lifesaver of an app. Industry where I work typically uses Charles for this kind of task, - an app that's got a fairly vague maintenance schedule and as a cross platform app always feels like a bit of a janky experience. It's so nice to have a thoughtful and well developed tool that feels at home in a Mac ecosystem and still comes packed with all the features you'd need. A+."

"Compared to any other MITM proxy I have seen or paid for, this one is by far the most effective. In terms of scriptability, mocking, and modification ability, this one beats Surge, Burpsuite, Thor, and Mitmproxy. It is also the easiest to set up and doesn't require a lot of maneuvering to get your traffic flowing through the proxy. A pretty good deal with Setapp I think.."

"Can’t recommend this enough, the developer has worked really hard to bring the desktop app to mobile and its really successful. While it doesn’t have every feature it has the ones that are most used and promises new functionality in the future. What I do know is the developer is very active and responsive and is keen to develop features that users are asking for. As a customer who uses both desktop and now the mobile version I can say the experience and responsiveness of the developer has been second to none and has even added the “No cache” feature that I requested. If only all developers were like this. Well done!"
